Communities
The QHS Criteria for Excellence in Communities is a set of requirements and a best practice template against which the housing provider can rate themselves. This will help housing providers to improve services to communities and encourage best practice.
The objectives of the programme are:
- To provide a tool for housing providers to evaluate and develop healthy, strong and vibrant communities.
- To require housing providers to work closely with other stakeholders and service providers in their communities to make best use of resources.
- To award a recognised sector-specific certificate to those housing providers who have achieved excellence in communities
- To provide confidence to stakeholders that housing providers are managing their approach to corporate social responsibility, resulting in measurable positive impacts.
- To ensure that the risks of serious social impacts are minimised and that investment in these areas of business is appropriately cost-effective.
